C.R. leaders, careful where you gather

Our city leaders gathered at a union hall to await the results of the sales tax election. In Cedar Rapids, unions usually make good political friends, but not this time. And now, a Cedar Rapids union is suing the state.
There can be power by association, but sometimes it turns out to be guilt by association. Perhaps the city leaders should be constituency neutral in their public dealings and gather in a neutral spot.
