Business cameras don’t result in costly tickets
The Gazette Opinion Staff

We used to call them “red light” cameras, but they go much farther now. I was denied having a letter published a while ago, as The Gazette claimed I used the police chief's comment “out of context,” yet pro camera letters are published without facts and misleading information.
On Dec 16, Wendy Anderson claimed “everyone who complains about the cameras is just angry because they can't put their own interests ahead of the interests of the state.” Everyone? Did the state put up these cameras? I thought the city put them up.
She also argued that business security cameras are the same thing. Do businesses send you a ticket for not spending enough money?
It is easier to get published depending on your point of view.
