Building sticks out like sore thumb

I would like to congratulate the building that was just built across the street from Walgreens and Pizza Hut in Marion on Seventh Avenue. I would like to congratulate it on being the ugliest building on the planet.
That building could not stick out more like a sore thumb if it tried. It's honestly more out of place than a Kardashian family member going to church. Yes, this is all harsh, but that building is not what the essence of downtown Marion is all about.
Whoever thought of it should have had second thoughts or consulted the citizens and we would have told you no, no no, no and no.
I don't know if someone is trying to turn Marion into something else, but it won't work, and it doesn't fit with all of the fabulous businesses we have in downtown Marion, along Seventh Avenue and more. It just doesn't. So thank you, to the designer, architect, whatever because you provided an example of what not to do. I'm all for progress and showcasing our fabulous town, but you do that by showing off what it is, not what it is not.
Marion is not about big ugly buildings, we're about people. Family. Homegrown, corn fed values. Some of us bleed black and gold, others may not (they'll learn). We are Iowans, we don't need a monstrosity like that.
