‘Bugging’ senator’s office is a crime

We have seen on major nightly news programs that Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and staff were discussing how to campaign against Ashley Judd if she ran for his Senate seat. They were discussing items that are common knowledge about her past.

So, is this abnormal for a campaign to try and “tar and feather” the opposition? Did not President Barack Obama do the same thing to candidate Mitt Romney? Is this not the “game plan” for most, if not all, campaigns?

What is not proper is that McConnell's office reportedly was “bugged.” Last I checked, this is illegal and should be investigated by the FBI. If the perpetrator is found, charges should be brought.

This type of activity caused a previous president to resign. Remember Richard Nixon and the Watergate mess. Good grief. The left press/media need to get balanced.
