People like to hear when a person pulls himself up by the bootstraps. I hear it all the time. One such person is Bruce Teague, who is running for the open seat on the council in Iowa City.
We can celebrate a person who has set goals for himself and been productive. He came to Iowa City to finish high school and since has been educated at Kirkwood Community College and University of Iowa.
Teague's slogan, 'All voices at the table,” says he's willing to hear from all corners of Iowa City society. He's a business owner and a landlord.
City Council work is tough stuff. There are many people who want to be heard. He'll have to discern. Teague will be an asset as he is a motivated learner. He is a doer.
