Branstad’s extreme agenda is being fulfilled

Des Moines Register political columnist Kathie Obradovich's recent suggestion that Gov. Terry Branstad ought to express concern about the outrageous questions posed by his Judicial Nominating Commission appointees misses the point. Even if Branstad were to do so, he wouldn't mean it. The reality is that Branstad specifically selected these appointees to ask these types of questions, albeit with more subtlety and finesse.
Add to this disgrace the governor's recent accomplishment, through his appointees to the Iowa Board of Medicine, restricting sound medical choices between a woman and her doctor.
Talk about a litmus test for judges and subverting a woman's right to choose. Let there be no doubt, Branstad's extreme agenda is being fulfilled, in spades.
