Branstad ad leads to vote for Culver

I have to thank Terry Branstad. His campaign ads helped me decide who to vote for in the gubernatorial race: Chet Culver.
Why? According to Branstad, Culver is a powerful and influential governor, and that is just what we need in today's world. Culver is so powerful that the entire United States anticipated Iowa's increase in unemployment, and the U.S. unemployment rate increased to absorb the brunt of the economic downturn and shield Iowa. Not only that, but the U.S. unemployment rate continued to climb, until recently, at a rate twice that of Iowa, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Evidently, Culver was able to influence the remainder of the country as well as Iowa. I know this because Branstad's campaign ads told me that Culver is responsible for Iowa's current unemployment rate and it is not because of the overall economic conditions. Thanks, Terry.
I'm surprised that Branstad didn't claim his own accomplishments. His administration was the only one in recent history to have an unemployment rate higher than that of the nation.
