Braley works hard for farmers
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 18, 2013 12:33 pm
Iowa farmers do their jobs or eventually lose the farm. But members of the U.S. House of Representatives have gone on vacation with their work undone.
Among their neglected work is the farm bill due to expire in September. The Senate has passed a new farm bill, but the House plays around with trying to repeal Obamacare. Our Rep. Bruce Braley worked hard to get the House to work hard and stay in session and get the farm bill done so farmers would have some predictability in their planning.
I plan to vote for hardworking Braley when he runs for U.S. Senate next year and I predict my fellow farmers and other Iowans who are paying attention will, too.
