Braley will protect our environment

Bruce Braley supports the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES). This common-sense approach is an important way to protect the environment while ensuring Iowa farmers and all Iowans a safe setting in which to pursue work and pleasure.
Joni Ernst may say 'life is sacred,” but when choosing financial profit over environmental protection she's all profit. She even wants the chemical companies to decide the safety of our soil and water. In Connecticut, chemicals were discovered on my brother's farm after a deathbed confession from the perpetuator. It was too late from my cancer-stricken brother. His dog died shortly after and his wife a few years later. His daughter survived her illness. Their lives were sacred, too.
The American Chemical Council, whose ads for Ernst appear hour after hour, opposed Connecticut's 'An Act Concerning Children's Products and Chemicals of High Concern” bill which would have allowed the state Public Health Department to identify and list chemicals that posted dangers to children. Even this baby step was too big a threat to their profit. The ACC campaigns across the country to smother toxics reform bills.
This is personal to me, which is why I voted early for Bruce Braley. Everyone wants to make a profit, but they also want to live a long and healthy life to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
