As a veteran who has witnessed Bruce Braley go to bat for veterans numerous times, I am upset with Joni Ernst and her portrayal of Braley as someone who doesn't care about veterans needs. Ask any veteran who knows about Linn County veterans and they will tell you that Braley has been an outstanding supporter of veterans.
Ernst has not put forth what her agenda would be for America, instead she attacks Braley and refuses to give us her opinion on important issues. Instead she thinks we should be upset that Braley has stated that 'Senator Grassley is a farmer from Iowa who doesn't have a law degree.” Well, folks, Grassley is a farmer from Iowa who doesn't have a law degree. Are we that sensitive that a truthful statement can be taken as an insult? I hope not.
It is time to get real about Iowa's future and support a candidate who is more qualified than Ernst. Braley has put forth a positive agenda that looks to expand on the many gains that we have had recently in Iowa. I plan to support Braley and send Ernst back to the farm.
