Braley displays real Iowa values

Regarding Anne K. Deupree's July 14 letter 'Ernst represents Iowa values”:

After watching too many commercials featuring Joni Ernst spouting that she has 'Iowa values,” I recall that someone else in the race is from Iowa - Bruce Braley.

We, as responsible voters, need to remember that Braley also has 'Iowa values.” Ernst missed 117 votes in the state Legislature with 10 percent because of her Guard duties ('Few of Ernst's missed votes due to Guard duty,” April 14) and that is just votes she missed, we do not know how many other days she didn't show up for work.

Iowa values would be actually showing up for a job. She states that it was because of campaign issues. Iowa values? I think not. We in Iowa with actual Iowa values show up for work and apply for other jobs on our own time.

Let's elect Braley, an Iowa candidate who has real 'Iowa values” and actually shows up for work.
