Braley also didn't respond to constituent
I read with interest the Dec. 27 letter by Robbin Rekemeyer regarding her inability to get a response from 2nd District Rep. Dave Loebsack. I had a similar situation with 1st District Rep. Bruce Braley.
In August, there was an article in The Gazette quoting Braley on medical costs for an average family. I thought the amount seemed excessive, so I sent an e-mail to him Aug. 16 and asked for the source of these quoted amounts. I thought the answer would be simple, as the article had just appeared. I received the response, “I will be replying soon regarding the issues you have written about.” Approximately three weeks passed and I received no response, so I sent another e-mail and received the same reply.
I waited an additional three weeks and sent him another e-mail and received the same reply.
To date, I have received no answer to this apparently simple question. Was Braley also attempting to appear devoted to keeping his constituents informed when he actually prefers they remain unaware, or was he just hoping that I would go away?
