Boswell controlled town hall audience
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Sep. 2, 2009 12:30 am
Rep. Leonard Boswell, D-Iowa, held an Aug. 14 town-hall meeting on the health care bill at the Sigourney Public Library, where the room had a fire code capacity of 30 people.
The 36 seats were filled by people who were called by name. They were health reform supporters, union members and President Barack Obama supporters. Eventually, some non-supporters were allowed to stand around the edge of the room, but, many more were out in the hallway and outside where they could not hear or participate.
Boswell could have slated it for some place with more capacity; two others places were offered, he did nothing. Draw your conclusion. The situation did make for a controlled audience.
This is not health care reform but simply and explicitly take over health care for furthering the socialization of the United States. May God bless us all and deliver us from this evil.
I ask Boswell where it says in the Constitution that the government has the right and responsibility to take over health care of the citizens.
There are those who support this health care takeover because they think they will receive free health care. No free lunch.
America better wake up before it is too late and Obama has ruined what our forefathers established and so many shed their blood and gave their lives to maintain.
