‘Boast’ of no one-way streets not worth effort

I read in the newspaper that Cedar Rapids is going to change its last one-way street (Third Avenue) to a two-way street. The one-way has worked well for many years, and has been able to get people to where they want to go in the best and easiest way possible.
Changing to a two-way street will cost the city many thousands of dollars, and it will make things much more inconvenient for many. It might make things more dangerous and time consuming for you to get where you need to go.
I'm sure the streets department can find other ways that are a lot easier and more productive rather than being able to boast that Cedar Rapids has no more one-way streets.
