Bird represents herself, not all Iowans, standing with Trump

The honorable Tom Miller served this state as attorney general for 10 terms under five governors, Democrats Vilsack and Culver, and Republicans Ray, Branstad and Reynolds. He left his politics in his desk drawer, and represented all Iowans with sincere vigor. He joined national prosecutions of the cigarette industries and garnered multimillion dollar judgments for the citizens of Iowa.
Now Brenna Bird has left the state once again, following up her 17 lawsuits against this federal administration in her two years in office, to blow her loudspeaker about, how “politics has no place in a criminal prosecution,” as if this act of grandstanding is any thing but political. If she wants to “stand with President Donald Trump” and his 91 felony indictments, do it as an individual and not as a representative of Iowa’s judicial system!
We Iowans expect a little more of the people who represent us, especially with respect to the laws of our state and our nation!
