Bill’s in Marion was a special place

To the editor:
Marion lost the popular Bill's Drinking Establishment tavern after so many years in uptown Marion. We want to thank Kevin Bell, who took over from Bill Kuba.
Kuba started the tavern business on 11th Street, but moved to Seventh Avenue after the city made the decision to close 11th Street. That's when 'the” Bill's Drinking Establishment started and the business grew and grew. It was a favorite place to go, meet a friend, have a great time and receive great service.
Thank you, Bill and Kevin. We will miss you both. Happy retirement.
Robert 'Bob” McBride
Marion, since 1932
