Big fundraising push for N. Liberty library

The city of North Liberty continues to develop and expand at an astonishing rate. With this growth, we have seen increased use of the library and demand for its services. We have responded to the needs of our patrons by providing reading materials in both traditional and electronic formats.
The expansion project will double the size of the community library. It is an inclusive and dynamic place that greatly deserves the support that the community has shown thus far.
As the president of the library's board of trustees, I have seen firsthand how committed the city and residents of North Liberty are to the expansion project. We have made great strides toward meeting our goal of raising $714,000 in private funds. To date, we have raised more than $600,000. We need your help to make this goal.
Please note that there will not be an increase in taxes to support this expansion. In addition to the private funds that we are trying to raise, the city is contributing $2 million toward the expansion. Please show your commitment to our community and help us expand our library.
