Bicycle licenses could bring revenue to Iowa

In regards to Al Seabrook's letter of April 18, I'm glad he and his wife have a $50,000 annual income and could comfortably pay at least a 2 percent or more tax increase.
He also stated that Social Security increases have covered their Medicare premium. I'm a widow, my Social Security is under $13,000 a year and I have not had an increase in my Social Security in some time. A 2 percent increase in taxes would not be comfortable for me.
What I would like to see is for bicycles to be licensed; they have the use of all the roads and pay no road taxes and many do not obey the laws of the road. They do not stop at stop signs.
If people 16 and older paid as little as $10 to $25 a year, this would bring some revenue into our state of Iowa.
