Bible lays out clear view on homosexuality

I would like to commend St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the members for standing up against the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's unforgivable decision on the gay issue. I feel that the leaders of the ELCA are nothing more than “false prophets” that we are warned about in the Bible. If we are a Bible-based church, how could they twist the scriptures around to say that it is OK for man to lay with man, or woman to lay with woman?
The Bible's condemnation of homosexuality is as clear and plain as the Bible's condemnation of murder, adultery, premarital sex, kidnapping, lying and idolatry. For me to openly condemn homosexuality theologically makes me no more a “gay basher” than I am a “murderer basher” or any other type basher. If anyone disagrees, their argument is with God's Bible, not me.
If a person chooses to practice homosexuality in privacy, that is their free choice. But for the church to openly allow a person to become a pastor, or to be married to the same sex, is just plain wrong.
The Bible cannot be rewritten to fit the times; the times have to fit the Bible.
