Benton school leaders’ actions appalling

Hats off to Jennifer Hemmingsen of The Gazette. How are we supposed to keep our kids safe if kept in the dark? Her articles about Benton school authorities keeping important information about one of their school teachers' behavior hidden from law enforcement and instead taking things into their own hands was alarming. I don't think there is ever an excuse for not reporting something suspicious to the authorities when it involves our children.

I find this appalling and am outraged at this behavior from one of our most trusted facilities where our children are expected to be safe from harm. Let this be a warning to parents of other schools and to make our children's safety our number one responsibility and priority. Let's all stay involved.
