Becoming a legislator of the “party of no”
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 1, 2012 5:07 pm
I know Nick Wagner is a nice guy and good family man; however, he lacks substance when it comes to being my state legislator. It seems he has forgotten who he represents and has become a charter member of the “party of no.” If I want to carry a gun and shoot doves with lead shot, then Wagner would be my man, but I want someone who is concerned about issues important to my district and not special interests groups.
Wagner has consistently voted no for anything pertaining to schools.
Wagner supported the governor in auctioning our state to an Egyptian company for $110 million (tax incentives), while he voted to end continuing and expanding the Save our Small Business Fund.
We need a realistic leader to represent District 68 and work toward ending the gridlock. Dan Lundby will do the job.
