Beauty of woodlands distracted by trash
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 5, 2011 12:13 pm
It's past time to close down the “will pick up” articles that hang on the east fence near the intersection of East Post Road and Cottage Grove Avenue. They aren't being picked up and the inventory of more than 70 items (mostly auto parts) is too great.
Let's not have auto parts, etc., displayed on fences, anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon Line. The beauty of adjacent woodlands and the frequent wildlife sightings offer sufficient attractions without this additional display. Trash is trash even if it's chrome plated.
