Be a part of overhaul of council, supervisors
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 13, 2009 12:04 am
Voters, it's time to do a complete overhaul of our city council and Linn County Board of Supervisors.
The so-called “vision” for Cedar Rapids is what benefits them and the good 'ol boys, not what's good for the general population.
Small business eventually creates big business and any business that can hire and put people to work is better than no business. I am sure someone out of work would welcome an $18-an-hour job.
What new business has either council brought into the city or county to help put our unemployed back to work, except for consultants, the last of which was for a phone survey asking how we thought they were doing. Doesn't take a survey to figure that one out.
Residents, do some soul searching and if you are honest and care for Cedar Rapids, consider running for an office.
