Base vote on your thoughts, opinions

To the editor:
It is discouraging when someone stands up and says exactly what people have been saying around their kitchen tables and he or she is called uncomplimentary names. The same day Donald Trump offered his services as a possible president of the United States, the Fox network threw out criticisms and yes, uncomplimentary names.
I like the news from that network, but I do wish they'd hold the negatives until we the people can decide the value of those who throw their hat in the ring for 2016. Like those on other networks, these talk show people know that their opinions determine the votes of many listeners. It's as bad as the Speaker of the House John Boehner removing people from committees because they disagree with his views. So what do we have? In reality, no representatives, because they are not allowed to voice an opposing opinion, have a vote taken and go with a majority outcome. The whole thing is a one man show. In essence, leaders are mini dictators. No wonder the country is in the jam it's in.
Personally, I'm sick of politicians and willing to give an outsider a chance. George Will and Charles Krauthammer disparaged Ronald Reagan too, but if we're honest, Reagan was the man for the hour. Which proves one thing and it is that their character assessments are faulty.
We may have to turn the television off to give airtime to our own thoughts and assessments.
