After having personal experience with the current Linn County Board of Supervisors, I am voting for a change so that everyone in the community has a voice equally. Mark Banowetz is running for District 1 Linn County supervisor and I firmly believe he is the right choice. He is a strong advocate for responsible budgeting of our tax dollars, parental rights, and he wants to see safer cities and rural areas through better support of our local law enforcement. Mark also respects private property rights, and genuinely listens to all sides when considering an issue.
Mark served nine years on the Ely City Council and six years as mayor pro tem. He is a small business owner and understands the needs of those who have the courage to start a small business. I have personally talked several times with Mark, and he is energetic and ready to serve all those in this district. Mark has personally knocked on many doors, talking with and listening to citizens’ concerns, no matter the person’s political party preference.
As a longtime Cedar Rapids resident, I believe Mark has the energy, concern and experience to revitalize Linn County now and for the future as well. I encourage you to research the candidates this year, and hope you will decide to give Mark a chance to strengthen Linn County in all its facets.
