Bakken pipeline not good for state

To the editor:
The Bakken pipeline for oil to be sent through the ground of our state is wrong for Iowa.
In the first place, we need less oil used, as it sends gases up into the atmosphere and causes storms and flooding. Instead, we should use wind and solar power which will give calming to our weather and we're producing more wind power to use than any other state in the union.
Also, those pipes to be placed underground could break and hurt good farm ground. Let's ask our state representatives to deny the Bakken pipeline.
