Attack ads distort the truth

I know Iowans are sick of misleading attack ads that distort the truth. In the latest ad against Dave Loebsack, the National Republican Congressional Committee claims that his vote for the president's recovery package unfairly burdened the middle class. In fact, the opposite is true. Tax relief for the lower- and middle-class was the largest piece of the Recovery Act; 99 percent of Iowans received average tax relief of $1,158 in 2009 because of this bill.
