Assault on Roe is now conceivable

I have come to the conclusion that the things I hold dear have come under attack since Gov. Terry Branstad's second coronation. Whether it be the breakup of public unions, a balanced state budget, a protected Iowa natural environment, an Iowa-quality education - you name it!
I wonder how Iowans can vote those with non-Iowan interests back into office? The officials who want to give tax breaks to out-of-state interests, who want to repeal environmental protections and our children's health futures so that corporate America has an unchallenged operational theater. What about their children, friends and neighbors who seek gainful employment and access to a tolerable workplace with sustainable wages?
No matter how bleak things may seem, the people I fear most are destined to self implode. You see, with the addition of Justice Neil Gorsuch and the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, the assault on Roe v. Wade can begin. The agenda becomes obvious, take back from women the right to decide what is best for their bodies. Yep, that's right, 52 percent of the voting populace of Iowa gets a slap in the face and put in their place. Let's return to the days of old, where a woman's health was a secondary concern of the good old boys.
I'm getting a good feeling about 2018 and beyond because the unchallenged wisdom of the female race will not put up with a reversal of gains from the last 50 years. Thank God for the ladies.
