Ask council for written reason on library vote
The Gazette Opinion Staff

It's decision-making time for the City Council regarding a new location for the public library.
Since the outcome of this vote is most important to the city's future, I believe we should get each council member's position (including the mayor's) in writing on how they will be voting. The letter should include their thought process with their pros and cons of what they feel is the best location for the new library. They could place this letter in the hands of The Gazette (before the final vote) so the public could see where they are actually coming from. However, The Gazette must step up and ask for this information.
This would be a great service for our community and much appreciated.
