Arts plays major role in students’ creative spirit
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Apr. 1, 2010 12:25 am
There are innumerable students who have been contributing assets to communities all over this country for generations. Students who are contributing because of their exposure to fine arts. Exposure that gave them an opportunity for expression that created students who are living, breathing testaments to the creative outlet that only the arts can give students.
Some of those students would be lost without that freedom of expression, and most assuredly without the arts, more would be lost. Show of hands, how many of you were in the band, choir, painting, ceramics, drawing or dance? How many of you learned from your arts?
