Art Staed stood for us, will stand for you

My wife and I lost $45,000 to a life insurance company on a technicality. We had been paying monthly since 1985 through automatic bank withdraw. We had a policy that gradually costs more each year. We changed banks and accidentally under paid a total of $200.

At the time, we were at one bank, then to a second that was sold and then a third bank. There is a blizzard of envelopes and information that came to our house. Traditionally, a customer like our family would get a certified letter, which requires a signature. Instead, an ordinary letter told us we were terminated.

We were overwhelmed and called our District 66 House member, Rep. Art Staed. He came out to our house. Directly and indirectly he helped us with our problem.

He even wrote a bill that was voted on in the House, but which didn't make it into law. Art plans to introduce this bill again and again.
