Arizona shooting not the only news story
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I agree the recent events in Arizona are a tragedy beyond description. But I feel the news media is going too far in their coverage of the tragedy. What about our troops returning home, either dead or crippled for life? What about the hundreds of people killed in mudslides and others with no homes or food?
These are also stories with human suffering. I am not the only person who feels this way. I also agree with Gary Sargent's letter in the Sunday Gazette about not holding your breath when it comes to the media for fair and equal coverage.
