Are President’s words on immigration, waste actually shameful?

Trump 47 ran for president promising to close the border and stop the illegal immigration that was flooding our country. This was impacting not only the safety of U.S. citizens via violent gangs coming across our border, but also the economic impact of supporting illegals in sanctuary citizens, over the support of its own residents.
“Even as we are a nation of immigrants, we’re also a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountable — especially those who may be dangerous.”
Trump also ran for President on the promise to cut wasteful government spending and started DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency.
“From the day I took office, one of the commitments that I made to the American people was that we would do a better job here in Washington in rooting out wasteful spending. This does mean making some tough choices. It means cutting some programs that we may not be able to afford right now. That’s why we launched on our own initiative to cut waste.”
Trump is doing his best at deporting illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes here, or in their own country. He is working hard at shrinking the government and cutting government spending. But I may have misled you with this letter. None of the quotes I have used are those of Donald Trump. Every quote used in this letter are those from Barack Obama in 2014 while he was President.
