Are our troops fighting for Chinese benefit?
Nov. 24, 2009 11:42 pm
I was informed via PBS news recently that the People's Republic of China had paid a $30 million bribe to an Afghanistan public official in order to receive mining rights to mine copper ore in Afghanistan. Does this mean that U.S. troops are there to fight the Taliban so that China can extract natural resources from this region without them having even one Chinese soldier fighting in Afghanistan? Are our troops dying so Chinese officials, companies and CEOs can make large sums of money while our troops and other NATO troops die in that war?
If that is the case, we should pull every U.S. and NATO troop out of there ASAP or get the Chinese in there to help fight the Taliban if they want those resources that are there. Something smells rotten here.
Did the Chinese tell the United States they were not going to buy our bonds anymore unless we did their fighting for them? It looks to me like we have sunk to a new low.
