Appreciate all that boomers did for you

In regard to the Dec. 28 letter by Rob Gettemy, bashing the baby boomers for leaving the next generation with our debt:
I'm a baby boomer and have never added to the expense of the future generation. I work constantly, self employed as a Realtor, and pay my very hefty tax share. And what about the veterans from Vietnam, where many boomers lost limbs and now suffer from Agent Orange? Many are homeless or have mental handicaps due to their service to us all. Doesn't freedom have a price? Does safety for the current and future generations mean anything to you?
Boomers have paid dearly into Social Security for our retirement, which will probably be gone when many of us need it. This is due to younger generations' voracious spending habits. Get real and appreciate what all the boomers have contributed.
