Andy McGuire will lead as governor

I have been involved in politics for as long as I remember, but only recently did I turn 18. With my newfound privilege to vote, I am proud to say I will be voting Dr. Andy McGuire for governor of Iowa on June 5.

Dr. McGuire built a prestigious career while supporting seven children. She's compassionate. She believes in equal rights and that we need to stand together to protect each other's beliefs.

As an Asian woman who grew up in a low-income neighborhood, I trust Dr. McGuire can bring together communities for an equal and healthy foundation. She understands racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and women shouldn't be afraid of hate crimes. She knows that everyone deserves the same rights. Dr. McGuire knows that children deserve a safe environment to get an education. As a woman, I trust Dr. McGuire to fight for the rights of myself, my neighbors and my classmates so we can all live a life with no hate. Dr. McGuire has the passion, drive and leadership to effectively protect Iowans who deserve equality.

Dr. McGuire knows climate change is real and that we need to put science back into government. She believes in writing policies based on data not political contributions. Dr. McGuire brings a positive message and a clear plan.
