The top priority of the Iowa secretary of state ought to be increasing election turnout, not intimidating Iowa voters. Iowans care deeply about ensuring voter access to the polls and it's time for a Secretary of State who agrees. We proudly support Iowa secretary of state candidate Brad Anderson.
Current Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz has spent his time in office wasting taxpayer dollars on fruitless criminal investigations trying to prove that Iowans cheat at the polls. Never before has this office been used in such an overtly partisan way. Meanwhile, the votes of three eligible Iowans in Cerro Gordo County were discarded in 2012 due to an inaccurate list provided by his office. Iowans deserve better.
Anderson believes in finding bipartisan ways to increase their integrity while simultaneously protecting Iowa voters and increasing voter turnout. It's time to stop using taxpayer dollars to intimidate Iowa voters. Instead, let's encourage more people to vote. Iowa has a history of clean and fair elections and Anderson will keep it that way.
