Amish better at technology than some give credit for

A letter to the editor criticizing the UI football scoreboard performance suggested visitors might have thought the tech staff "were from the Amish community." While the local Amish may not use electricity, many are quite savvy when using technology. Some now use electricity provided by solar panels, many of them installed by a young Amish guy who helped me with solar installations one summer. My guess is, that if given the opportunity, he could have figured out how to get the scoreboards working, though I doubt he could help Iowa's offense.
