Alternatives would be burden to residents

I live on the northwest side and am voting yes Tuesday to extend the local-option sales tax.
While I was fortunate to have the floodwater stop a block from my home, I have helped friends and neighbors clean and rebuild. Despite negative voices, many who have rebuilt say vote yes.
The City Council has released clear information that current LOST money has been spent appropriately. Specific ballot language ensures local approval and accountability for this upcoming vote.
Alternative tax revenue sources, such as property taxes or utility fees, or collecting funds in a shorter time period, would create an undue burden on us.
The extension of the existing LOST is the best available option to protect our city and repair our roads.
