All unborn children have right to life

To the editor:
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted for our pro-life candidates in the election. Our pro-life representatives support our Founding Fathers' principles, so they will work to protect the rights that made our country great, especially the freedom of religion and the right to keep and bear arms. Our pro-life representatives give us renewed hope for the future, a bright future that includes protecting women and their unborn children from abortion.
Women have been told that abortion is their right. The result I see is that respect for women has deteriorated, based on the assumption that they use abortion for their own convenience. However, there is nothing convenient about an invasive procedure that carries risks such as infertility, breast cancer, hemorrhage and death. There is nothing convenient about the aftermath of taking the life of one's own unborn child.
Unborn children are our own next generation, our own posterity who have a right to the blessings of liberty. The right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness should mean that it is safe to be born in our country. Unborn children are not in a position to win the fight for their own lives. They need and deserve our protection. Our last few years' experience has paved the way for our country to honor the unborn child's right to life. Our election results give us hope that we will achieve this milestone.
