Akin statement as logical as witch hunts

I think all women are glad that they aren't living in the days of the Salem witch hunts. If you were accused of being a witch, you were bound, tied to a rock and thrown in the water. If you didn't sink and survived, you were a witch and burned at the stake. If you sank and drowned, you were innocent.
Now comes Congressman Todd Akin, R-Missouri, defining rape. “If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”
I take that to mean, if you get pregnant, it's not a rape and if you don't get pregnant, it's a rape. Oh, boy. We need to hold people accountable for their crazy rhetoric and vote accordingly.
