Ahmadinejad not afraid to use nuclear weapons
The Gazette Opinion Staff

The idea that Iran President Ahmadinejad won't use nuclear weapons is naive.
Let's imagine a man who tells his entire neighborhood that his nearby neighbor's house should be “wiped off the map.” Then he begins building a flamethrower, all the while claiming he just wants it to keep warm. I don't think anyone could honestly believe that to be true.
Ahmadinejad should not be allowed to possess nuclear materials for any reason. His hatred of Israel and the West is well-documented. If you don't think he's prepared to use nukes on a foreign country he despises because of the repercussions, I would refer you to see how his government treated its own citizens who protested the results of his victory in the 2009 Iranian “election.”
