AEGON’s ad campaign doesn’t reflect actions

AEGON USA, once a respected company in Cedar Rapids, continues to ship jobs to India. Yes, it si an international company, but the lack of loyalty to this community is drawing the ire of many. AEGON continues to spend money on holiday parties and sponsorships to golfers, while it throws employees to the curb.
AEGON stated months ago it would mitigate the loss of jobs through attrition, which I believe is an untruth. Talk to the people who have lost their jobs and hear what they have to say. AEGON has had openings in the Cedar Rapids area, but rather than shift its own committed and capable staff, it has cut some loose and have advertised openings in The Gazette.
Who is making the decisions? Is it no wonder why AEGON spends so much money trying to convince us of all the wonderful things it does via television advertisements? How about showing some respect for those who busted their behinds for the company, often working 50 to 60 hours a week?
