Act in accordance to constituents’ interests

This is to express my complete disappointment in Congress and administration of the United States. Your intransigence, arrogance and political posturing have damaged this country, its economy and its citizens.
The solution to our deficit problem is obvious to the vast majority of Americans: Entitlements must be reduced and revenues must be enhanced.
We do not need to reduce Medicare and Social Security entitlements currently being received by people. We only need to reduce the entitlements to be paid in the future.
We do need to get serious about simplifying the tax code and eliminating deductions and loopholes in order to raise revenues.
I wish I could believe you have the courage to undertake this solution, but if recent behavior is any predictor, I have little faith. Who is willing to invest in hiring new people and taking bold, new initiatives in the type of environment you have created for us?
Get off your high horses. Build a strong center that ignores the fanatics on the left and the right. Be statesmen and do something that is in the best interests of the people who you have been elected to serve, instead of just worrying about yourselves and your re-election.
