Accomplishments thanks to city staff, residents

I read Todd Dorman's Feb. 9 column and take issue with his trying to convince readers that the new mayor has accomplished much in his first month in office.
Of course the only reason the so-called “culture of delay” has “kicked the bucket,” as Dorman suggests, is because Ron Corbett has stopped referring to it in order to fool residents into voting for him.
Anything that has been accomplished - including the more publicly noticeable progress that has been made recently - is all thanks to the hard work and dedication of the former city council members, city staff and thousands of residents who have stepped up in the months since the flood to make a difference in their community.
I'd suggest Corbett remove those feathers from his cap and spend more time figuring out how to get his point across to reporters without using profanity.
