Accepting ‘Christmas’ shows tolerance

Rhode Island Democratic Mister Grinch Gov. Lincoln Chafee caused a ruckus by referring to the state Christmas tree as a “Holiday Tree.” He defended his stance by saying his state has been a “haven for religious tolerance, where government and religion were kept separate.”
Apparently his paradoxical definition of religious tolerance is to not tolerate anything religious. But all he is doing is blowing smoke in our face. We all know he is just another liberal politician infected with a high degree of intolerance for anything Christian.
He would much rather rile millions of Christians nationwide with his holiday tree stance than to simply tolerate and acquiesce to the simple word “Christmas,” a word that has been around a lot longer than he has, but one he deems unmentionable.
