Abuse suffered as boy shaped man’s life

I need to make a comment on the Iowa Youth Home and the Eldora Training School for Boys. I know you will not print my letter as you do not care about the truth, but here it is anyway. I was one of the children who stayed at the youth home who was often put into leather restraints and tied to a bed. I've seen children jumped on by staff, myself included for being a child or for talking back to staff. I remember the sex abuse by a staff member at the Eldora Training School for Boys or the sex abuse by the priests I suffered from at the Catholic church in Dubuque where I was an altar boy or the abuse at the Heartwood Children's Home in Cedar Rapids.
All this took place back in the 1970s. I think this is why I'm so messed up today. I just thought you should know.
