Abortion ban is not the way to go

I am writing in regard the May 16 article 'Legal fight over ‘heartbeat' abortion law begins” by Rod Boshart. This bill to ban abortion after six weeks is not a path we should take.
First, it violates a woman's right to choose what happens to her body. Second, what happens to these unwanted children?
This ban on abortion is too strict and something I thought I would never see. Gov. Kim Reynolds talked at a luncheon to reporters in the Quad-Cities that this is about life, it's about protecting life and that's first and foremost the priority. So where in this article does she say or even acknowledge what will happen when mothers are forced to have these children? Where does Kim Reynolds talk about how she will pay for the problems that will arise, like welfare, food stamps, children services and medical care?
I ask all woman to make a stand to say that we have the right to choose what goes on in our bodies. We need to write to our Legislature and state that Kim Reynolds is out of line and not in favor of our own human rights. This ban on abortion needs to end.
We need to keep the government out of the doctor's office.
Focus on what will happen if this bill does not get over turned. I hope as a society we can see that this ban is not the way to go.
