A quick fix to downtown C.R. noise problem
The Gazette Opinion Staff
May. 26, 2011 11:52 am
In response to the Sunday article regarding the city's traffic engineer, Tom Peterson, and the proposed study about how to create a quiet zone in downtown Cedar Rapids:
Don't pay the $370,000 for a study. Just take out the railroad tracks, close all the facilities that use them, then we will have a quiet zone - the whole town.
No noise, no pollution, no jobs!
