Mr. Hodgden (Dec. 14, Letters to the editor) fears that democracy is about to slip away “quietly” into “the night.”
Au contraire!
The lessons to be learned from the recent election are quite clear — a majority of our citizens practiced democracy, “turned the page” and set our democracy firmly back on its proper track. That would be the track laid down by our Founding Fathers as specified in the Constitution.
Democracy is about to flower as never before! Fear not the night, be joyful, a new day awaits!
